Cookbook Holder – Counter Clutter or a Truly Useful Kitchen Tool?

Cookbook holder? When this little item first landed in my kitchen, I scoffed. Why add another item to an already full kitchen when you can make due simply placing your cookbook on the counter? And then I actually used the cookbook holder. It was already in the kitchen, I might as well give it a try, right? Here’s what I found.

No more sticky, and unidentifiable, stuff on your cookbook pages. Open up any cookbook in my kitchen and you’ll find myriad stains. Olive oil, barbeque sauce, vinegar, wine, chocolate, you name it; it is permanently embedded in the pages of my books. Guess what? A cookbook holder actually keeps your cookbook clean. Now, instead of guessing what some of the obscured and blurry words are, I can actually read the entire recipe.

No more burning the sauce while you’re trying to find your place. Okay, I admit it. The old can on the book to hold the pages down doesn’t really work. Inevitably the pages will slip out from under the can, the book will close and I lose my place. Typically this means a burnt something while I try to find my place again. Not good. A cookbook holder keeps your book open so this never happens. You never lose your place which means better food and significantly easier meal prep.

Cookbook holders actually look good on the counter. Do you have a few favorite cookbooks? Cookbooks that not only have a few great recipes but also look really pretty? They have pictures inside that look so good they make you want to cook, and eat? Those are the books you put in your cookbook holder and leave on the counter. Not only do they add a touch of class and color to your kitchen. They make you want to cook and eating a good home cooked meal is one of the true luxuries of life.

Where can you find a good cookbook holder? MySecretPantry offers three of the best cookbook holders you’ll ever see. Whether you want to mount it under your cupboard or you want a countertop version that can accommodate any size cookbook, they have what you need. They’re made from beautiful hardwoods and will enhance every kitchen décor and every chef’s life.
